Life Is a House!
Imagine life as a vast, beautiful house.
It is not yours to own. It belongs to someone far greater, the one who built it and cares for every corner.
When you step inside, sunlight pours through the windows. The air feels calm. Every room is open, waiting for you to explore.
You are a guest here, a part of a bigger story, designed to live according to the Owner’s purpose.
That’s a gift!
Your time here is temporary.
As a guest, you do not have to carry the heavy weight of ownership or control. You do not need to claim every room or lock every door to prove you belong.
You can simply be!
You are not alone. Other guests come and go. Each carries their own story, their joys, and their struggles. When you connect and open your heart to them, the house changes. You begin to see it through their eyes either positively or negatively.
These connections: laughter, tears, silence shared, add meaning to your visit. They remind you that your journey is woven with others. You are a traveler, not a solitary soul.
But the world outside can make us forget this truth. It pushes us to prove ourselves through what we own, achieve, or appear to be. We rush to claim rooms as ours, locking doors for safety or status. Yet the house is not meant for possession. It is a place for learning, experience, and being.
Sometimes life throws challenges beyond our control. If your child is sick, worrying does not change the illness. If a job is lost, anxiety cannot bring it back. If relationships break, fear cannot fix what is broken. These things are out of our hands. Trying to control them only adds weight.
Sometimes we think life works out because we made the right plans and executed them perfectly. We believe success is the result of our careful effort and control. But in truth, no plan unfolds without the Owner’s consent.
Think about those who left too soon or faced unexpected hardships. Were they not good planners? Did they fail because they did not try hard enough? Or is there something bigger at work, something beyond our understanding?
Our plans matter, but they do not guarantee the outcome. The Owner holds the ultimate authority, guiding the house in ways we cannot always see or predict.
There are moments when the Owner appoints someone to fulfill a specific purpose. For them, the path often seems clear. Things align in ways that feel effortless. Doors open. Opportunities appear at the right time. It is not luck or coincidence. It is favor, the unfolding of a plan by the Owner, carried out by those chosen to walk in it.
When you remember you are a visitor, the burden of owning everything falls away. You do not need more to feel enough. You do not have to prove your place. You belong simply because you are here.
Many forget this. They collect, compare, and close themselves off. But no matter how full the rooms or grand the space, none of it travels with you when the visit ends.
There is a deeper secret…..
The relationship you have with the Owner.
What happens when you lose sight of the Owner, the one who holds the keys and watches over every corner with love and patience? The house begins to feel cold and empty. You might fill rooms with things or noise but still feel like a stranger in a place that should be your sanctuary. The light feels distant. The walls close in.
Ignoring the Owner cuts you off from the source of control, meaning, and belonging. Without that connection, the house loses its heart. It becomes a place of loneliness and fear.
And yet, this is where freedom begins.
If you feel lost, overwhelmed, or weighed down by what you cannot control, remember this: you do not need to own the house to be happy. You do not need to fill every room to feel whole. You are here to cherish the visit.
In this simple truth there is freedom, hope, and love. You belong not because of what you hold but because you are here; breathing, connecting, living.
You are never truly alone.
This moment, right now, is yours to hold gently as a precious guest and as part of a bigger plan.
Maybe your part is simply to exist, to bring light, or to add beauty, just as flowers brighten a dull room. 😊
